There is a debate raging on ROTD about myspace vs bands website.
She does it very well with all the information easy to navigate and i love the 'record player'.

Discovered this artist while scouting for songs for my projects. I love the idea, Bondesque hip hop. She sounds a bit like Beyonce in places.
Jazz tinged hip hop meets trip hop this is great.
May not be to all your tastes but i love it.

Totally class site. I`m not that keen on the song though, the record player as you say is brilliant. This is interesting with the resurgence of vinyl, vinyl imaging is being used to launch an MP3.
Quality.

There is no resurgence of vinyl ! 17 Years, 7 Months ago
I think you are wishful thinking, Martin !

Maybe a few quirky (small run) issues on vinyl purely for promotional / gimmick reasons - but apart from a few club DJs (and many of them have deserted vinyl now) vinyl is consigned to the collectors and antiquitarians.

All I can confirm is, that all the kids down here are buying the vinyl or of course the downloads. They like the size of the vinyl product in their hands.

Yes I quite like the site but I'm more audio than visual... 17 Years, 7 Months ago
and the track is shit.
I worry about these clever expensive looking sites especially when it becomes clear that's where all the creative energy went.

The ultimate website/websong..... 17 Years, 7 Months ago
..is still the JCB song for me, I can honestly tell you that, I had three clients in this office, on seperate occasions who cried when they saw and heard it for the first time.
Everybody has to be very careful with imaging of songs, you get it wrong, the song has a whole new meaning every time it is played.

Not very often i would defend an artist im tipping on here but there are few different songs on there, which i think you should listen to.

Personally i find music like this refreshing as im utterly bored with all the music by numbers 'hits' that have nothing unique or different about them. I find that with what this artist is doing and Lily Allen as well (ok in some songs), this is refreshing to my ears. Not saying it's a smash but there is room in the music business for tracks like that.
May not be for all but i dont think it's shit JK.

As for the site, it is actually quite simple and not expensive at all to design. Well im talking from the perspective of someone who has designed sites.
At least its better than that awful ROTD song from last week by Fedde. Anyway horses for courses.

Maybe a milestone has been reached today with DJKZ pushing a tune that's only slightly less 'MOR' than the norm on here?

Good to see JK biting, I'm seriously worried for Martin K and the comapny he's keeping and Manager Man might be interested to know that the vinyl resurgence made the TV news last night:

search.bbc.co.uk/cgi-bin/search/results....on=d&q=vinyl

The article's on the right hand side of the page.

Finally DJKZ I can stretch to a couple of hundred bangers can you design an equally good site for my band?

Tell you what Rods? 17 Years, 7 Months ago
Each of the three weeping individuals said words to the like of "My Dad used to have a JCB!"(another tale for another day)
Interesting Monday thread though, I had not seen J bite for a bit either, as you say.
For some strange reason I had my Monday yesterday, today is very quiet.
I have just spotted the vinyl resurge story getting bigger as well. But it does need to be pointed out how small the runs are, Air Traffic is only a thousand I believe. The thing is , that thousand will go, would a thousand coloured collectors cd`s go as quick and be sort after?
There`s cleverer than you think marketing going on here.
Kids will enjoy showing their parents that they TOO own a record for the old family record player, or whatever old beasty they have dustily stuck in the loft or the back room.
I`m all for it, I love e-mails, but I adore getting postcards.

Got to side with DJKZ here, a fresh sounding song IMHO. Love the production and chord changes, reminds me of James Bond and judging by the graphics on the site, that's the idea.
