Over 10,000 views for the first episode in 4 days... anyone doubting the power of You Tube must surely believe?

About 80% positive comments... 10% are bored and 10% are brain dead negative insults, deleted with a click of the mouse (surely they know this... why on earth do they bother?).

Well a few negative comments were inevitable, but the joke is on them if they decided to watch ,then make silly comments and run off giggling like the bully behind the keyboard they are.
What I am sure everyone wants to know, is are these films instead of the book, or extracts from it. You appear to be reading some bits, but not all of it.
I found the rating stars on Youtube confusing, and had entered 3.5 without realising that was the rating is was stuck on at the time, I was looking for a button to change the rating, and didnt realise you clicked on the stars! doh!
The lager advert on YouTube is credited to you as well.

I see it as a video equivalent of the book... but the main reason for doing it was to test out the power of YouTube and the entire internet communications area.

I reckon that 2007 will see an explosion in cheap, easy internet radio and TV stations and one or two will move from tiny specialist to mass appeal audiences.

Watching Geriatric1927 (a sweet old man with huge viewer figures for his video reminiscences of the second world war), I decided to try it myself and see whether you could get masses of viewers within a few weeks.

Over 10,000 and only the 4th day on is pretty impressive!

Translated to a HIT (and the word of mouth that spreads) - this is a powerful new medium for promotion.

13,500 in 5 days 17 Years, 7 Months ago
Interesting and valuable information.

If it was a potential hit single by a new act (see thread) , that many chosen viewers would start the avalanche.

But we still get left with a question.
People are viewing, people are enjoying the films, but how does this turn into bacon on the table?
I have nearly 700 hits on a song on Myspace, 18 hits on a video in only one hour on Youtube, but very few 79p`s on downloads.
I worry that we give too much free entertainment away, which is great as entertainers(to be seen and enjoyed), but the trend is going to go further down the pan if we all do it for free.
I am not so much worried for our generations, but for the younger ones.
The business is at it`s most unstable ever.
I am very positive about the new trends, but I do think a massive shake up is on the horizon, that only a few can see coming.
I think, the guy whose video I just watched may well have a clue to this:whistle:
