Song #2 in the "new song per week" campaign 17 Years, 6 Months ago
by Martin's tip Jinder...

Particularly enjoying this one, "Keep Me In Your Heart", really strong ballad with a lovely vocal.

You and Martin are spot on about Jinder, Red; lovely voice and a very good songwriter.

I have a suspicion he's going to come up with a monster one of these days.

Just needs that extra pinch of pepper (originality)... Keep Me In Your Heart is a trifle ordinary as a concept... when he finds that way to express such emotions in a totally individual way, he'll have cracked it.

I have seen him play many times, and he is noted for being tall enough to not require a stage, which I did rib him about! We communicated last week about doing a gig together, which will be a Tipsheet must see event.
I cannot recommend Gary Nock enough at the moment, for lovers of nice songs and voices, we did a mix down for him last week, and I will post it up when the production is finished. I am attending his show on Thursday at the Betsy Trotwood(never been there before)
Back on the Jinder subject, he actually now goes out with a full band, which I have not seen yet,I think he was on One Little Indian, with his previous act which were definetly called "Candlefire", so a lot of readers will recall them.

I-ree, I second that. But it's a tough one to orchestrate. When a guy has so many good elements on his side already, it's hard to tell them to change something. A good placement in a film could do the trick with "In Your Heart".

PS: On the subject on country, I just posted a news item about a Hank Williams notebook being worth $250 000! After reading about it in an article, Sony/ATV figured it was stolen and want it back.

Actually, I meant to add.... 17 Years, 6 Months ago
Jinder`s version of "Allways On My Mind",(Willy Nelson/Elvis) is just so very , very good. Absolutely spellbinding, unfortunately, if you don`t have a copy of that one, happy hunting, but it`s worth it.

Well played and well written.

If he can find a breakthrough song I can imagine him doing very well.

Just needs picking up and placing somewhere for people to hear him.

Slight problem with low volume recording - his others a loud and I'd don't lik eit when I've turned up my volume to hear a song and then get blasted by noise on th enext track.

The next track was dull and uninteresting too

Just listened to track 3... so Keep me in your heart is it then.

One good track has been enough for some to do rather well.

....spoke to the man himself this afternoon on the phone, and the track I mentioned above, is now on his myspace site.
Enjoy it, it is glorious.

I heard this live at the Spitz gig I attended earlier this year, the recording is very lovely though, I can't get enough of this guy at the moment.

Did anyone get down to the Electroacoustic Club gig last week? I had every intention of heading down but got caught up with some stuff at home and couldn't make it, I missed him at the Bedford a couple of weeks previously too. I can't see any more listed, but do you know if there are any more city gigs in the pipeline Martin?

Curses, I picked this up too late to do anything about it...I'm out of town today so will be unable to make to Betsey Trotwood GN show alas, let me know how it is though. That place is the least appropriate venue to bear the moniker "Theatre" I've ever come across, I caught Leona Naess there earlier this year and the place is insanely small. Lots of "Character" though.

Well Red, you missed a treat, Gary was superb, and we watched the show with a very shy Chris Martin.
