I really can't make up my mind. I like them in small doses, but I'm not sure I could listen to more than a couple of tracks at a time.

In that sense, very like Katie Melua or Norah Jones. Musically, poles apart from the ladies... but the best comparisons for what I call 'compilation artists'...

I love them, personally. I Am A Bird Now and the self-titled album are excellent, deeply individual works.

I do find it remarkable that such idiosyncratic music has managed to become a commercial success though. I swear Antony is the current resident for Nina Simone's restless soul.

"nd one... I got as far as the opening lyrics and bailed out pronto. Somebody thought this was a good idea? If his mother says she likes it she's having him on.

"I feel in love with a dead boy" well the title's cool. Hmmm, I liked this one - up to about 2.20 then it seemed to lose it. Shame I was enjoying the delivery, the idea and the video.

Should pnone up John Waters and offer it as a soundtrack piece.
