I would like to tip this group which was signed by Universal/Motown US in late September. I've been tracking them for 3 years. They can sing and I think if they can get with Dallas Austin and or the right Urban producers they could do something. I know their manager has done a remarkable job keeping them onstage in front of an audience.

I have no attachment to this act BTW.

I would like to know what everyone thinks?

Cheers GG

It is extremely good. But I was expecting something a little more "fresh" when I saw the photos. They look like girls from the countless teen soaps. Musically, it's heading towards a more urban audience.

Very good anyway, although it's not my thing personally.

That's down to the makeup, photographer and who ever 'designed' the image...

As to the sound... the can sing. I don't like the production values much and it reminded me a lot of Sugarbabes and All Saints in style and content.

I can also live without warbling like Mariah 'Pick a freaking octave you bint!' Carey... Yuo just know there are those hand gestures involving imaginary tonal levels a la Mariah, Celine, and the Sainted Barbara...

To get a 'real' evaluation, I'd have to see them live.

However, will it be popular: probably. Are the better than competent: Yes, certainly. Do I like their stuff: based on samples, not really, but they may grow on me. I'd be happier if they were a little less slick and a little less derivative. They are winsome (which is a word I use when someone is attractive because they are young and blond rather than really attractive... note I didn't use the word 'pretty')

I am shocked they've been signed.

It seems to me to be a rehash of what was. Nothing particularly new.

It's not a style I like but I don't have to like it to thing well of it.

After listening to 3 tracks I'm finding the over-affected vocal style irritating and monotonous.

Good luck to them but I just don't get it.

Very much writing/producing by numbers, nothing sounded original to me. I didn't like the way they looked either.
