I was interested to see the former Cat Stevens has a new CD which doesn't seem to be religious. I actually
pre-ordered it on Amazon...and was curious how everyone else was feeling about it. Since he is on the
"no fly" list here in the States I'm not sure if he'll be coming over to support it, but I have such fond memories of all the Cat Stevens concerts I attended in my younger life I'm looking forward to hearing what he is doing now.

I`ve heard it, but I don`t like the modern middle of the road production. I like his old stuff better, it shows passion, the new album could be anyone, theres no grit in it, although you can tell his voice has improved, but I preffered the none improved version.

Never liked his stuff when he was Cat Stevens, not keen now. I can hear he's talented but not all talent is to my taste.

I will definitely be among the purchasers. Cat, IMHO, is one of the best songwriters this country has produced, I just hope he hasn't lost his edge after his near 30 year layoff.

Yusef (see, I'm doing the politically PC thing) is one of the best songwriters in the world. Full stop, period and punt op de lijn. I heard just the tiniest snippet live on telly and it struck me what an extraordinary voice he still has. So I'm looking forward to the album.

C'mon, listen to "Morning Has Broken" and try and find one singer to day that can make that voice/guitar thing sound so impressive.

It would be very interesting to hear all the material he has written over the years that is not on the album.
