Love the Yeti song at no.1 in the FAB chart this week.

Wasn't there a band in the 1970s called Yeti? Seems to be in the back of my mind somewhere. This isn't them, though, because they look a bit young.

I enjoyed that too.

They seem to like somewhat retro songs there... and so do I. Listening to Jimmy the Squirrel again.

Must remember to bookmark the site this time.

The Yetties Cat, from Yetminster in Dorset.
A very successful folk band and they are still going strong I believe.
I think they were on Decca, ask JK, I have an album of theirs called "Dorset Is So Beautiful", or something like that. Good fun.

I can take this further, as I have crawled through the library and found the disc! Argo records ZFB 38( a division of Decca), the folk one I presume. Hilarious haircuts and clothing on the record, very seventies University Challenge!
I can assure everyone, that their accents greatly exaggerate my own, as I have now put the thing on!

Ah, The Yetis!! That's who I was trying to remember.

Yes, different lot. The ones in the FAB chart do have long hair though. Mine was also like that, once over ... when I had enough. Ah, happy days ....

Carpet Road is excellent, and I like Jimmy the Squirrel too. The FAB MAG page is cool with it's links and info. I agree it's a good place to find new music with a retro feel.
