Yes it`s going to be a difficult case this one.
Sixties musicians? Memory? Could be a problem...
I had another of my infamous flops out in `87, and genuinely forgot that I had not written the middle 8 part, until the co-writer appeared at a gig and pointed out that he had no credit for the tune on the record.
But a massive global hit like "Pale"? This could get rough for all concerned.

C'marn - how many people could come up with "we skip a light fandango"?

More than one? Lock 'em up!

Yes you have to take your hat off to a ten million selling song , in which the lyric means actually nothing.
Perhaps the use of "skipped the lights Fandango", was used as a trigger to say to himself

How come he had "forgotten" that he'd co-written it - for 40 years????

Isn't the keyboard melody a bit of Bach or some old dead geezer like that?
If the guy wins will he get counter-sued by the writter of When a Man Loves a Woman?

PS. NURSE! Martin's getting out of his bed again!

Oh dear; Matthew's lost (almost all of) his hair.
And Gary's gone snow white.
How come I still look 25?

PS... NURSE!!! Jonathan's broken his mirror again.

Haha! Purely isolation Harley!
The dog says so very little these days.
I do admit to having a cup of coffee last week, and I was instantly(no pun intended) banned from it by my partner again!
Wasn`t there a BeeGees case like this a few years back, but with a guy who appeared from nowhere claiming he had written some of their songs?
I know about the recent Green Day case.
I wish I could inform you all about something that has just unfortunately become apparent to this office and relevent to the thread, but you will have to stay tuned.
