I know several hugely experienced and highy regarded experts on broadcasting who wrote to Hall offering advice as to how to beef up the defence of the corporation. They all got back the same glib letter, written as if to a needy Blue Peter viewer, with Hall's signature inserted digitally. He really is a fool to himself, but it's a shame he also wants to be a fool to everyone else.
