I don't like digital downloads as I prefer physical formats.

I remember having the album on a budget release from Woolworths years ago, along with 10cc on the same label.

Where can I find some more information about this release? Where were these multitracks found? 4 track tapes? Who did the remixes? Are all tracks remixed or are some frome the original mono release of the "Revelation" album (which was never released on CD)?

The multis were in an old warehouse and had been, with hundreds of others, since the two Regent Sound Studios had been bought and all the tapes stored away in the 60s or 70s. Nobody knew of their existence until I got a call from a friend, fortunately employed to go through them and knowing my connection. With delight we listened to the numerous tapes and takes - some wonderful out takes (we were SO public school - even my engineer Tom Allom was an Old Carthusian - ex Charterhouse - he went on to become a top producer himself with Judas Priest and others). I could not believe how fantastic Peter's voice was (the reason I signed the group in the first place). And the songs are really great too. I think it is a tremendous album. We have done several total remixes (some simply featuring the brilliant vocals a cappella) - some are stereo mixes of the original tracks (not fake stereo from the mono mixes); some are as they were for comparison (or because I felt they still sound great).
All this was done with my friend Steve Levine in his superb studio up in Liverpool (Steve is also a top producer and makes the wonderful Record Producer series for the BBC).
At present it can be bought through iTunes, Amazon and heard on Spotify. 50 Years Ago.

Been playing it all afternoon on Spotify and I love it along the sexy bass line on the new mix of In the Beginning.

I do wish JK would release it on vinyl format it would sell well.

One Eyed Hound and When The Sour Turns to Sweet are much better than were on the album, the sound is tighter almost like some later Genesis stuff.

Just a quick question about the used tapes...did you use

a) for the "new stereo mixes" the 1st AND 2nd 4-track-tapes,
b) for the "new mixes" (and acapella versions) ONLY the 2nd 4-track-tape and
c) for the rest of the tracks an already mixed mono master?

All new mixes came from all the 8 multi track tapes and the mono mixes were generally the original masters.
