Very sad to hear of the terrible illness of this 70s pop idol. He has been through many highs and lows over the years. In the early 70s he had massive success and was a army of teenage fans. More recently he has struggled with alcohol abuse, bankruptcy, and dementia. He made many great pop songs and gave a lot of pleasure to millions of people and I hope he is able to recover and enjoy the rest of his life.
