Intrigued to hear as I had colleagues on that label.. 18 Years, 1 Month ago  
..and whilst I am here, my website has just gone down, only two weeks prior to a release! grrrrrrrr
I have been told not to panic, but I am .....just a bit.
All I know about Magnet, was they appeared to have a session stable of the same people.
Lovely pressing, pretty lable, good pop stuff.

73/74 (3 hits out of 13 releases) and 74/75 (8 hits out of 24 releases) were really very good years for Magnet.

But why did UK Records have no hit out of 38 releases in 74/75?

We never paid for play, as far as I remember... 18 Years, 1 Month ago  
Ricky's track became a huge hit in Scandinavia and may have been PUBLISHED by the Radio Luxembourg company (that was often the way it went).
As for hits... who knows, but there's an excellent CD out via Cherry Red Records called Bubblepop which is predominantly UK Records flops... and some of them sound great today.
