Monkee Memories 7 Months ago
Always enjoy Sounds of the Sixties; they played a Monkees hit reminding me of Micky Dolenz meeting Sam Juste on the Top of the Pops set with me - I was close friends with Davey Jones and Peter Tork who I remember driving down to Surrey to meet my Mum in 1967. I was very lucky having my first hit in 1965 as a young Cambridge University and thus most of my friends were fellow 60s popsters; many sadly now dead (often due to drugs or smoking, neither of which I did). Oh the stories I could tell (and do tell some in my autobiogs).
