Little Richard RIP 3 Years, 11 Months ago
I can’t believe this hasn’t appeared before. The only reason I didn’t post something earlier was I was so sure someone else would

The descriptions legend, original, “one of a kind” are often wrongly used but in the case of Little Richard he was all of those and MUCH more. He was bisexual, flamboyantly camp, black, ordained preacher, heroin addict, convicted sex offender etc There are so many real life dramas in his life I don’t think you could get them into a 2.5 hour movie.

As a musical performer he was an original Rock ‘n’ Roll star with hIt singles he wrote himself.

Rather than one of his own songs here’s a 1994 performance showing that almost 40 years after breaking through he still had “it”. For Little Richard “it” was so many things

He and his music have received so many awards, just go to his Wikipedia page to see the list. How has noboby cared to mention his passing on this forum?

If you ever watch Red Scorpion his music is used. On my many travels to USA and been to hundreds of bars. Little Richard would be on radio or on the jukeboxes. However I never heard his stuff in UK or in Ireland.

I was in HMV in Canterbury branch about 4 years ago. A student was after James Brown CDs and his mate's had no idea whom he was on about. He was singing a melody to his pals trying to 'ring some bells' but they had zero clue still.
