HELP - we have a great Jubilee mix of the music Princess Elizabeth danced to 80 years ago and want to get it to DJs at street parties next month. However all the promo companies say their DJs do not play street parties. Is there no company that caters for such things? Do no dance DJ’s dare play anything different? Please let us know.

Wyot does a bit of JK. Walk pass a row of terrace houses in Southampton and you will hear Marillion, Man, Gong, Camel, Caravan, Lone Star and Sky. Just follow the trail of scent of old leather jackets, cans of Scrumpy Jack and conversations on both caviar and gout.

Actually it's more than just giving free downloads to street party organisers GM (and Wyot) - it's amazement that companies servicing dance DJs think anything that is not exactly the same as everything else (i.e. 4-4, as one company said) is not worth sending. Can it be true that dance DJs never choose to break up sessions with something unusual? Are they gullibles? My God, people will be believing the Covid hype next, and voting for Brexit!

I am sure you can bring out your DJ gear to your local street JK. London is now lawless so no copper will arrest you for noise pollution.

A lot of DJ's I used to hire in the past for parties, functions, Friday nights etc. Most of the DJ's told me they do it as a sideline or a just hobby rather than a full time job. Even then they were not cheap to hire. Now people are tighten their belts due to cost of living is going up.
