Just received a brochures for a few theatres near me. I am amazed how tributes acts are playing in the theatres now.
In my day there were in pubs, clubs or booked for charity fundraising events.
You went to see them for cheap night out and have drunk sing a long.
The best tribute band that is only worth seeing IMHO is Limehouse Lizzy. They never miss a beat and can match the solo's to the Thin Lizzy recordings almost identical.
I first L.L in a club, the beers we drank was more than entry fee. It was when pints were cheap. Now to see Limehouse Lizzy is about £20 or more in theatres.
Kast Off Kinks is an odd one they have one original member from Kinks. And one or two touring members the Kinks had hired in the 80s or 90s. However they are fantastic live.
