Why is it played at sporting events and weddings. People never sing the verses properly, only the chorus. (Badly) Neil Diamond had much better songs. They sing it because it is a rousing, catchy singalong tune. It is not one to sit down and reflect on the lyrics, just to belt out the chorus, which doesn't ryhme at all and punch the air. Enter code here Please note: although no board code and smiley buttons are shown, they are still usable.
