Ollie Alexander for Eurovision 4 Months, 2 Weeks ago

I don't think this is a good idea, he doesn't make very commercial catchy songs. He's too edgy, too subversive.
Having someone so overly camp can be a bit divisive with the public (As we saw with Layton in the strictly final).
Male solo singers haven't been very successful in Eurovision, particularly for the UK, but then again what do I know, I liked Mae Muller.

Olly, seems to be popular with a lot of middle aged women. I think he is dreary and nauseating to be honest. I agree that his songs are not catchy but they sound like they were recorded and produced on Pro Tools software.

There was a lot of gay singers when I was young but they were never camp nor did we care. Rob Halford gets the scariest looking dudes dancing and he is gay.

Not even Michael Stipe, is that camp nor femmine. My parents met him in a restaurant and even had a long chat over a coffee which he bought. He didn't talk politics nor asked about it.

I don't like REM but that's just me. I like how Stipe he makes time for strangers and fans, so he has my respect and has done ever since then.

GH as usual takes a thread on a tangent. A thread about Ollie Alexander has not become a thread about the merits or otherwise of REM.

You said camp singer's can be diversive. Stipe is camp and is fucking popular, Judas Priest again camp with leather and chains attire. They headline a lot of festivals and sell out theatres and arenas.

No one cares what the Eurovision act is as long it's a decent song. Which the rarely have.

Lordi won it because it was different to see, even though they are a Gwor rip off.

Is this a bad joke, because no one’s laughing?
