Great article about the work of Pop Music Activism who has made a lot of forgotten
songs available on streaming sites

Very interesting article. Warner Bros seemed to release LPs and 45's and to see what stuck.

I am hoping that Warner Bros would release a complete Bandana CD, I have the album still but not the 45's they recorded on the Warner label.

Interesting article.

I have one gripe of my own about lack of availability.

My favourite version of What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted is the 80's synth version recorded by Dave Stewart & Colin Blunstone which was a decent sized hit song making it to No13 in the spring of 1981. The actual original version that was the hit back then seems completely unavailable which seems really peculiar to me. I recall when I first tried to get hold of it to download on Apple iTunes about 10 years ago being amazed it was not there to buy on download and still isn't as far as I can tell, or anywhere else much.

The song was performed on 19th March 1981 by them in the TOTP studio.

The actual video. The performance I noted above is also available but this sounds better and is in full. Just over a meagre 500 views in a year, that's just extraordinary. I certainly don't consider this a terribly obscure track. More people need to discover it or rediscover it.

That version is fabulous. I think I may just about agree with you. Colin - ex Zombies, nails the vocal and Dave the production.

He's not the same Dave Stewart of Eurythmics fame.

When I saw Colin Blunstone live when he sang a few first lines of The Way I Feel Inside. The hairs on my neck stood up and I got goosebumps. His voice is sensational and beautiful.
