Personally I couldn't care less if Oasis re-unite. I won't be going to see them. Liam is now headlining Reading/Leeds doing what is basically an Oasis tribute act. How much different would it be to bring in Noel to the band. Noel is a very good guitarist, but there is nothing distinctive about his playing, it could be easily mimicked by a session player. I saw them in 2000 at the V Festival. Even then they were a spent force, let alone 24 years later. i preferred Blur at the time, at least some of their music was a bit more original. I'm sure that if they did re-unite it would be a massive financial success, but people will be dissapointed.
I thought they were crap. They were like the Indie KLF. Stole riffs and samples.
I do agree their riffs are easy Wonderwall is what buskers learn and people trying out guitar for the first time. I thought the song was a dirge then.
Their fans are knobs also they throw bottles, fight and I was told by an ex-fan she witnessed a face gouge.
It was not a one-off. Even kids get sworn at.

Oasis never did anything for me (or Blur) tI was a young lad when they were getting big but while people would sing "Wonderwall" with great reverence at parties, all I could do was yawn...
But my ears don't appreciate The Beatles or Elvis either - so I realise I am not exactly representative
I do though wish the BBC would stop giving so much airtime to Oasis reunification. We just don't need them to do this sort of thing...

Liam and Noel were frequent visitors to Charlestown, Co Mayo in Ireland - when their grandmother was alive, and where they enjoyed life as ordinary locals.

What is your taste in music in Wyot in all seriousness? I never liked the Beatles and I only enjoy George Harrison solo albums.
I like some Elvis songs like Burning Love.
To give a flavour some songwriters I love: Van Morrison, Tom Waits, Peter Gabriel, Leonard Cohen, Neil Young, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Nick Cave (my current main listen is The Bad Seeds latest album released yesterday). Then - a range of classical: obvious very big names & Dvorak, Mahler, Schubert string quartets, Handel.
I know you love prog and I did also use to listen to early Genesis and others. I have gradually replaced listening to "complicated and epic" popular music as I discovered the wonders of classical. I also love Gregorian chanting!
With songwriters I am as much focused on lyrics as music; being a big reader.

Have you listened to The Enid or Camel?
Tom Waits is interesting my father loved his voice, where no one else did in the family.

What I loved about The Enid is that put their out their catalogue for free on their website.
Neil Young is/was great live, so do keep an eye out if he is well enough to tour again.
My partner did try buy Oasis tickets for her and her sister, she kicked out of Ticketmaster twice today after waiting for hours, then her account was suspended. As they said it was a Bot Account, she has ordered from Ticketmaster for years. I never thought Oasis would break the Internet.
Its more of the media hype that is breaking the internet, rather than Oasis. People just want to be part of, what they perceive as a major event, due to the amount of media attention it is getting.
I think you are right Robbie, but it has ruined for proper fans, not sheeple.

You said you liked Tom Waits, Wyot.
These bumper grey market releases are not bad for the price, worth looking into. Sometimes they are in the bigger HMV stores. I did buy a dodgy Damn Yankees broadcast CD from there, it was not worth the £16 price, more like £6 (Just avoid some of the ICONOGRAPHY releases)
www.amazon.co.uk/Road-Box-10-CD/dp/B07ZTW2HQH
Give it time the Oasis broadcast CDs will go up in price.
