Tony Blackburn has announced the death of his friend Phil "The Collector" Swern who has died aged 76.
He produced Pick Of The Pops for years and other radio shows and had a big record collection comprising
of every Top 40 hit.
A sad loss. He also appeared on CD:UK.

"Tony Blackburn paid a full tribute on Sounds Of The 60's this morning, and played Elusive Butterfly by Bob Lind.

He revealed that Swern had successfully undergone surgery for cancer around two years ago but it had returned and was untreatable, plus that he lived with him whilst going through his divorce from Tessa Wyatt."
