I have collected bootlegs over the decades. (Not Beatles.) Demos and outtakes were removed for a reason.
Steely Dan and Moody Blues refuse to release their demos and sessions officially. They are perfectionists and have both said along the lines that the best stuff is out already. I love to know what outtakes are out there from Pretzel Logic.
Justin Hayward does not want people to buy Moody Blues sets sourced from tapes that are probably in poor condition.
Despite there is a fortune to be made from those.
Beatles Anthology box sets are still cheap enough second-hand. I do see them occasionally in charity shops or record fares a fair bit.
If Apple is releasing the Anthologies and demo sets, people need to get bootleg imports on eBay or from private dealers, they will be much cheaper than the official releases. There was a time when collecting bootlegs was fun and owning some rare stuff, that needs to come back IMHO.
