The Christmas number one won't be decided until sunday, and this particular track isn't anywhere near the top. Its a pretty lazy track, putting new lyrics on top of a Christmas classic
Sunday?
The charts haven't come out on a Sunday evening for nearly 10 years now. It's Friday, not that I care, I stopped regular chart show listening way back in 1996 when the charts slowly started to get stupid for a few year period with no climbers and all new top fives each week. Meaningless in terms of a chart show listen for suspense on the ups, downs and newcomers.
With the same old overheard Christmas songs clogging up the charts again these past couple of weeks why the hell can't the OCC see that this is not credible and they've basically torched the charts to death, they are literally meaningless in December, and why do we want the same repeat chart annually like this, much like the crap repeating on TV too. Why? Each year's Christmas chart used to have its own uniqueness, as it should do, not just sound like a double compilation album of Now That's What I Call Christmas annually now.

Yep. But the lyrics are absolutely spot on about Starmer and his shower of shit government.
Biggest wankers going.
If the song were about Liz Truss or Nigel Farage, radio stations would air it whether it was a hit or not. I wonder if radio stations have been warned that if they play the song, the DJs will get 5 years in prison.
The radio stations did play The Kunts when they did songs about Boris.
well no they didn't play The Kunts mainly due to the bad language lol
They couldn't say their name
They tried last year as The Krackpots with Proper Christmas which was clean in an attempt to get airplay
and it didn't make the chart.

Yes i preferred the charts on sunday but unfortunately streaming is here to stay because downloads/physical are so low.
I do think the way they calculate streaming should be looked at though...not counting playlists would be a start.

It always makes me laugh when total no hopers are touted as potential Chrimbo No1's. There's some serious delusion out there, isn't there Ed Davey!
Sir Starmer & The Granny Harmers, Freezing This Christmas has nearly been frozen out the Top 40 completely, just sneaking in at No37.
Even the Radio 1 Chart Show failed to play it, skipping from 38 to 36. The BBC News Channel doing a live broadcast from the studio as the songs are getting played by some character called Jack Saunders who looked quite manic with some very odd body language.
Whoever was doing the BBC News straplines should be shot though. When playing Elton John's Step Into Christmas they actually stated that the song was the Christmas No1 in 1973, when infact it didn't even break the top twenty originally that year. Who does the research, I think BBC Verify need to be called in on that, the BBC feeding the public false information even about Christmas hits. They even stated that Wizzard's big one from '73 came out in 1985.
The Christmas No1 for the second consecutive year is Wham! Last Christmas.
