I was a gig last night for a tribute act it's all we get here now. Until the main hall reopens in the Fall. I try and support my local venue if I can. It's a use it or lose it.
I won't give out the name or venue as Barney might stalk me. Or Wyot might ask for a ride along.
I go to Scotland for the famous bands and make mini holiday out of it for a few days.
Bournemouth is becoming shit for concerts now. No one seems to book the BIC these days. Pavilion has terrible sound IMHO.
I have never seen musician's use iPads for their concerts before. Surely if you are a tribute act shouldn't you know all the notes, chords and lyrics? Like the pre digital age.
Not many tribute acts do deep album tracks or obscure songs.
I have seen a few tribute acts before without the use of iPads. Most still stick down the set list on the stage or wear bad wigs.
