Going Underground or onto a Funeral Pyre. The Beat Surrenders.
Paul Weller wrote: "I'm shocked and saddened by Rick's passing. I'm thinking back to us all rehearsing in my bedroom in Stanley Road, Woking. To all the pubs and clubs we played at as kids, to eventually making a record. What a journey! We went far beyond our dreams and what we made stands the test of time. My deepest sympathy to all family and friends - P.W x."
Bruce Foxton said: "I was shocked and devastated to hear the very sad news today. Rick was a good guy and a great drummer whose innovative drum patterns helped shape our songs. I'm glad we had the chance to work together as much as we did. My thoughts are with Leslie and his family at this very difficult time."
Looking at the archives this forum was mostly about music. No one seems to mention music on here. Just politics and Hedda's obsession and smears about Trump.
The Jam were powerhouse in the UK pop scene. I would have imagined that Buckler's death would made a long thread. The Hoffman forum is turns bitchy at times. It's funny when people compare their music collections to your yours. Like it's their manhoods.

Well I'm happy and always keen to talk music! I must admit I do find it somewhat strange that a site named King of Hits is not attracting far more music input from people but does attract a lot of politics. I remember as a teenager that politics was meant to be such a boring subject that not many people wanted to rattle on about. Nowadays it's the opposite and everyone seems hyper politicised and sees politics in everything, except oddly enough we don't seem to get much political music anymore do we.
