Thank God for Rhapsody..... 18 Years, 1 Month ago
All i can say folks is thank God for Rhapsody and other subscription services. Fortunately im able to log onto it (PM me to find out how but it is legal).
In one day i took trip down memory lane, listened to everyone from The Police, to The Spinners, Chi-lites to the Everly Brothers before really overdosing on the first record label to really have an impact on my life. No its not Motown, although they did play a role but Trojan Records gave me the sweet sounds of reggae music which shaped my growing up in Queens Park West London which brought tears to my eyes remembering it all. As an aside JK where can i get Hey fatty bum bum ?? I can never forget going to swimming on monday morningsd with the whole coach load of us kids singing "hey fatty bum bum, Sweet sugar dumpling..." JK thanks for bringing that to the UK. Now on a more serious point, In this day and age and as long as the licensing can be made permanent, i see subscription being the best choice for the consumer for listening to music. A bit like how we used to sit on the floor with lots of records to play on the ole turntable. I still buy from Itunes as well but i must say that the days of me buying CDs are long gone UNLESS its for professional reasons such as using as an A/B track for mixing and mastering.
Finally i have to also say lots of love to Phil and Don the Everly Brothers who were right up there with ELvis and are my most favourite band of all time. So many hits so little misses. Well we never got to hear the misses lol. Have a nice day all.

KZ from Down Under, missing London like crazy especially now the weather is getting better hahaha.

Weather is not as good as you would imagine KZ.. 18 Years, 1 Month ago
It`s sunny but cold, and the garden is too waterlogged to do anything.
If you refer down to a previous thread you should find my musings on downloads versus cds.
I read over on ROTD that the Gnarls had only sold 36 hard copies, but then I must admit I did not check to see if that was posted on April 1st.
Drop me an e-mail and I will MP3 you some of the Elvis cd stuff we have done.
