For the record, the first Artist to do this was Morgan Fisher, (Ex Love Affair and Mott The Hoople). He released an album of one minute tracks under the title of "Miniatures a sequence of fifty-one tiny masterpieces" It was released on his own label, Pipe Music through Cherry Red in 1980.

The first answer is covers only qualify if they are out of copyright, I really don`t want to go down the clearance route for a sixty second mini hit.
It would be absolutely amazing if we could get sixty songs, and with that volume of work and E.Q. , I am thinking this HAS to be mixed live, as this a lot of work to break up, in the usual way.
An answer to the i-tunes question , is yes, I do intend to put any tracks on i-tunes at the discretion of the artiste.
The Morgan Fisher album , I remember well, it was superb, this differs in the variety of act styles, and so many different people.
And finally...will JK do one?? You will have to ask him!

You know there is an album, I don't know if it's been released in the UK, but in the US it's on the Fat Wreck Chords label. It's called "Short Music for Short People" and it's a compilation of 99 different bands playing 30 second (or less) songs. One band goes as far as to play a 6 second song. I think your dream of creating the shortest full record may be hindered just a tad by that

There are new bands ringing and e-mailing all the time.
It`s looking good.

What is emerging here, is a fantastic array of brilliant songs, that leave you wanting more.

Frankly I think it's a fantastic "concept album" and will arrouse interest
from consumers through to media programmers.

Martin when do you think it will be released to the public -
I think it's a dynamite project and should be a lot of fun too!

Working , and official title is "One Minute".
We have just got back , and have been djying all day.
We want it out for mid to end if summer.
