I'm still discovering new bands and artists and I came across a blues guitariest called Alexis Korner I was impressed as soon as I get some money together I'll think I buy the boxset.
I love blues but I'm not keen on John Mayall and Peter Green.
My top 5 blues musicans are...
Robert Johnson
Charles Patton
John Lee Hooker
Leadbelly (Irish Man Lonnie Donegan does numerous covers of Leadbelly in a good skiffle)
The song Pick a bale of cotton would have singing for hours it stays in your head and you want to play some more.
there are so many different people with different tastes and attitudes and ages and opinions - it's what makes these boards so unusual... we have interest; enthusiasm; tolerance; wide ranges of tastes and thoughts.
Long may it continue

I'd discovered Ramones on Tv. I think it was a Beatclub Performance or something. I thought was cool seeing a new punk band. I only knew sex pistols and Buzzcocks.
I discovered velvet Underground when my dad had it on tape and he never stopped playing it.
I'm 19; my dad had a wide variety of taste in music.
I was never allowed to go the Lps or Hi-FI. it was frustration. I was very curious about it; a big black box with speakers dials and display box and strange sounds came on. I'd never knew it was Hi-Fi. I always thought it was something sci-fi movie. I was about 2 at the time.
I still remember seeing my ever CD in my house. it was the Kinks greatest hits. I'd never seen a cd before so it was something new and differnt. I asked my dad to put on again and again.
We have got a lot of 60's compilations and several Beatles. For my 9-10 birthday I was given a walkman and 2 tapes - Jan and dean and The troggs which are now long gone but I've now got them on CD.
And I've always been a fan of acoustic; mainly that my dad used to play on a lot which we still have; it is a Gemini Fender 2.

Being young can be a bad thing sometimes. a lot of tipsters remember buying records and seeing groups which I was not born when all this happened. I'm also annoyed that people still remember JK being on tele, which I would love to have seen.
