I am not quite sure which ones are official, or not , released or not.
Joe Taylor, has pointed out the Wreckless Eric one, which would be the only one I would be interested in hearing.
Anyone heard it yet? And is it released or just My-spaced?
Eric deserves a hit, he has been around a long time, and is loved as much as Otway, who probably has a footy song hidden away as well. The way its going at the moment, Plant and Page could appear with the rock epic...."Bin A Long time Since I played football....!"

The Stan Boardman one is absolutely dire ! (Ee Eye Yippee - the Germans bombed our chippy !) There is even a Luftwaffe mix ! It's on a relatively unknown label so doubt that it will do anything although there is a buss in his homeland (N West) apparently.

Most of the others will never see the light of day.

Although, you say there are alot about - is it actually more than usual?

Here's the list from the last World Cup -

Ant & Dec - "We're On The Ball" (official England song, no. 3 in June)
DJ Otzi - "Hey Baby (World Cup Remix)" (no. 10 in June)
Baddiel & Skinner and The Lightning Seeds - "Three Lions" (no. 16 in June)
Bell & Spurling - "Goldenballs (Mr Beckham to You)" (no. 25 in June)
Dario G - "Carnival 2002" (no. 34 in June)
Opera Babes - "One Fine Day" (ITV World Cup Theme, no. 54 in July)
The Babe Team - "Over There" (no. 45 in June)
England Boys - "Go England" (no. 26 in June)
Anastacia - "Boom" (offical song) (didn't chart)
Bubble & Deano - "Standing Tall" (didn't chart)
Crazy Rider featuring Terry Venables - "England" (no. 46 in June)
Faithless - "Tarantula (remix)" (BBC World Cup Theme, didn't chart)
Fat Les/Ricky Tomlinson - "Who Invented Fish & Chips?" (didn't chart)
Irish World Cup Squad - "Here Come the Good Times" (official Irish song, didn't chart)

Sven's 11 - "Smells Like Team Spirit" (didn't chart)
V For Victory - "We've Got Goldenballs" (didn't chart)

Actually.. 18 Years ago
....That`s a very intimidating list ITK.
Long may it avoid my ears!
I did like "3 Lions" though,a very good tune for whatever form it was going to be used in.
