To me this is a very weak and derivative song.
Whereas No Tomorrow was original and brilliant.
When I heard No Tomorrow on Myspace I tipped it bigtime here and the ball started rolling.
If I'd only heard Bright Idea, I wouldn't have bothered and they would still be doing the day jobs they had been doing for 8 undiscovered years in Los Angeles.
Bad A&R, Jason Iley.

Ah yes but.... 17 Years, 11 Months ago
..This brings back a possible one hit wonder thread again, in a different sales climate, the follow up wouldn`t have charted.
I was allways constantly told by A+R, that my earliest act, had two hits, but as we didn`t have the third, no deal.
Would you not have signed Orson on the strength of a one hit leasing arrangement, or would you have passed up on them?

Could the plot be... delete the first single and delete this one when the album is released - then make as much as possible from the album before dropping the band?
As for your "would you sign them?"... I could, of course, have signed them (nobody else wanted them) when I heard them but the geographical problems made me decide to push them instead... and the key factor in my decision was that they needed strong, guaranteed US promotion and priority - like the push I got for Chumbawamba and Baha Men.
It's really not worth bothering, in my opinion, if you haven't got the biggest market in the world in place.
