TOPIC: A track I like immensely
#4861
A track I like immensely 17 Years, 11 Months ago
Instead of whinging on this board about **** and *****, I thought I'd post a link to a song that really struck me. Leon self-released "Be There" a while back and I missed it. It's a neat, emotional rock tune from a quartet that recently did a European jaunt. It strikes me that they really know how to put a song together (it certainly struck my post-adolescent sensibilities anyway).

Note: this is not a free MP3, it's a Weed file. You download it and can play it 3 times before deciding to do the decent thing and buy it (you could also dump it immdiately, but I doubt you will). Best played in Windows Media. No complaints to me, pls, as this is the artist's choice. Click below.

I presume you mean the link to your site? Wasn't working for me, the link that is.

I sent out two random requests for pals to download the track, and both happened to be on Macs and had problems. I've changed the code a little. Would you mind having another bash? It works best if you save to the hard disk first (but try anyway you want).

I'll give you some, um, Karma!

I suggest a nice everyday Myspace site would get instant feedback.

I managed to download it but it wouldn't play due to a security risk, Myspace is definately a better solution.

Thanks gents for taking the time. It's one of those situations where one computer reacts completely differently to another it seems. Just like the good old days!

Leon are not my band, so I'm not trying to promote them beyond my little square meter of the infobahn. So Myspace is not where my head is at (man). Weed files are cool as they are made to be shared - when they work, that is. The other option is a system called Potato, which is much easier as the files are un-DRMed MP3s. But the choice of music is much more restricted.

Leon's own website is at http://www.whothehellisleon.com/

By the way, speaking of hosting music, www.beSonic.com is back in action again. They were one of the pioneers with MP3.com and PeopleSound.

Well guess what; go to their site and click the Full Video of Getting Into You... 17 Years, 11 Months ago
and you reach a Myspace site!
All roads arrive at good old Myspace (ORSON would not have the No 1 album if I hadn't been able to hear No Tomorrow at a click of a Myspace mouse!).
And I agree Michael; very nice track by good little band; prefer Be There as a song.
And actually WONDERFUL is my favourite - he sings it really well and it has less of that irritating Casio ticky-tocky-Trio DaDaDa sound to it.
Very clever chorus.
Check this out tipsters...
This link may work best...

My only gripe is the Autotune on Wonderful.

Great songs though, thanks for tipping Michael.
