The desperately requested TOTP review... 17 Years, 11 Months ago
McFly, a boy band who have become a man band... do please please... not a bad song; I get the feeling that James from Busted and Tom the munchkin are both rather good writers. Am I wrong?
Then Lily Allen all squeak'n'coy; did you notice her dad cropping up in practically every footy song of the last 70 years?
Archive footy memories of Come On Eileen... quickly and rightly forgotten.
Then Automatic's Monster (We Want Lordi!)... not bad; not great.
Goo Goo Dolls who I like but not this dirge.
Sugababes - like them too but not this dirge.
Please girls don't get into Mariah oversinging contests.
Notes are notes not scales.
ELO do Evil Woman from 76. Remember it well.
Kooks - quite a sweet little outfit; the ginger one looks like the Partridge Family one who got into problems with substances in later life.
Then the chubby little Keane fellow who likes wearing shirts that are too tight and feels it's cool not to shave.
Out with Nelly at the top.
It's always a bad sign when the top execs in music get to flush out their dying hormones by making floozies with tits their top priorities.
They usually justify their obsessions with talk of talent that everyone can see through.
So we suffer campaigns to turn Nelly and Sandi and Lily and Jenny and Nerina and Corinne and Rhianna and Christina into huge stars but they are not, Blanche, they are not.

...and they looked genuinely pleased with their own performance.
The Automatics, were good, lucky to get a deal as their genre is a ten a penny. Good tune though.

So, has Toni Basil - or have Chinn and Chapman - been notified of Nelly Furtado's number one smash hit "Mickey Work Hard, Mickey Spend Hard, Oh Mickey You're So Fine..."?

a bit of Lordi would have improved the show.

don't rock fans matter to TV producers (answer no they don't)?
