Muse open; formed 12 years ago, I think that was about when The Tip Sheet picked up on them.
Still really like their blend of rock and pop. Good band.
Actually checking our database, we picked Muscle Museum when it was unsigned Issue 272 - about ten years ago.
Then Ne-Yo (we like Ne-Yo)... wonderfully stylish. Can't take eyes off him.
I think he's the best thing out of the USA in ages.
Kylie from 2000... I can understand enthusiasm for her but I don't share it. I sat next to her at the Arias in 1989, between her and Hutchens.
I don't think they had gotten it together by then.
A lot of water has flowed under that bridge.
Guillemots. Quite good. First I heard them; rather impressed.
Lead singer rather charmingly mad.
Girls very good too.
This is shaping up as one of the best Pops in ages.
Shakira and Wyclef is good; I've always liked Wyclef ever since I sat next to him waiting to see Clive Davis and Clive brought me in first.
Ray Lamontagne - NOT the beard and moustache and hair, Ray - does Trouble quite well.
If you like that kind of thing.
Which I do sometimes.
Then horrid Pursey goin darn the pub from 78; better than in 2006 - a weak entry at 10 before disappearing back into obscurity.
Then The Fratellis who Peter Whitehead has been raving about to us... yes, rather like them.
Especially the wa wa wa waaa bit.
Infernal do their Whigfield 2006 bit. Fine for what it is.
And out with tedious Furtardo which reeks of major label priority push.

....suddenly out of the blue..(!) I heard a fantastic band sounding much like the Ramones.
Wow! I thought.
And grabbed my harmonica, and therefore joined joyfully in.
I then heard the voice of an angel.
My dog ,singing along.
Unfortunately, this was soon ruined by a loud cockney shouting.
Know what I mean eh? eh?
The Fratellis , I am getting to like a bit, after seeing them on Jools`s show, I cannot stand the corparate and safe nature of Shakira, when Furtado came on, I brought the dog back on for an encore, and boy did she give us all a show!
She used both chords!
