Wondered if anyone on here has come across Waterman's new signing via his SonyBMG imprint.
You can hear the record at www.lola-music.com
As you'll hear, it sounds like nothing else at the moment, nor like anything in a long while.
It's interesting that MTV have banned the record due to it's lyrical content, given they're happy to playlist any old gangsta shite. Perhaps they're intimidated that a woman can actually get off on getting sexed up on her own terms.
Would be interested in hearing people's opinions on this. It's already hit No.1 on the Music Week commercial pop charts, thanks largely to the Luminar jocks, whose punters are lapping it up, unsurprisingly. It's a punter record and one I think will be massive!!
Good news is she's no one hit wonder either. Follow up is the Scott Storch produced I Can't Take It, which is a monster track also.

But that's Lola's point. It something we all do, something we all think about and it's the most natural thing in the world, so why the big taboo. Let's talk about it.
For too long now, sex and woman have been a man's thang. Thank god for people like Madonna, who was never afraid to say 'I like sex - so what?' Admitted, around the erotica era, she was shunned for it, but I think people just can't deal with a woman being open about having sexual feelings. Act like The Pussycat Dolls are all about giving a sexy vibe, but to please a man, it's always on the man's terms. Lola is saying 'I like sex, for me, come and please ME!'. Every girl I know that I have played this song to has now adopted it as their anthem. Most of them mothers, so go figure...

Listen, i've nothing to hide on this. I'm working on the record and i'm championing it in every way possible. Nothing to do with Waterman or Jenks, i'm doing this off my own back. It's been a LONG hard struggle to get this far, and I've supported this record since last summer when we were playing it on Pwl Radio.
Eden from Ish Media is radio plugging and is doing a wonderful job - cos he believes in the record.
Peoples reactions are so OTT when they first hear it, but after the initial shock, people with ears can hear there's a great record here.
I'm super confident there's a No.1 record about to happen, and if I wasn't sure before, judging from the phone reactions just now on Mills, I've certain it's a smash now.
It was Joe from ROTD who suggested I post here - why, i've no idea, as people on here seem to be just as negative and lifeless as the bunch of idiots who all shoot their muck over every band NME tell them it's cool to like.
Where are the Tilly Rutherfords of the music world these days. Does anyone get 'pop' anymore?
