He was my lawyer at Harbottle & Lewis when I started UK Records in the early 70's.
He went on to be an invaluable director to Chris Wright at Chrysalis.
We have communicated fondly quite recently.
I gather he had a heart attack in April and never fully recovered. He died on Friday.
We spent so many times together (and even my Mum, now aged 90, remembers spending time with him in Holland where my company was based at the time).
A very nice, very decent man. RIP.
