I just heard that "Hadji Girl", the barrack song about a Marine that kills an Iraqi family, is being released to the web as a single.
This is a strictly DIY release, as no sane record company would touch such material when US Marines are actually being invstigated for having slaughtered an Iraqi family.
There have been a number of war songs released over the years. I remember "The Men Behind the Wire" from Northern Ireland, for example. But isn't a line being crossed with "Hadji Girl"?
