I've been wondering about this myself, recently.

Gift was last heard of (by me) in the early 90s, playing Romeo in a Hull Truck production of R&J.

No idea what happened to the two guys out of The Beat.

To my ears, most of their music hasn't really stood the test of time. Their first two albums (did they only make two?) sound painfully 80s in terms of production - and the latter of the two is permanently blemished by a truly dreadful cover of the Buzzcocks' 'Ever Fallen In Love'.

But 'Johnny Come Home', 'Funny How Love Is' and '...Crazy' were all excellent tracks.

And now on ITV 4 - You Only Live Twice 17 Years, 9 Months ago
Movie people seem to have forgotten the importance of a real hit in a film.
