What is the deal with Shakira? i don't get it? Her latest 'tune' @ no.1 for the 3rd week is bloody awful, no discernable melody, no hook, poor video and the collaboration with wyclef only serves to make a bad tune worse...God iam sounding like my dad...but it was made eve more apparent what stinking pile of shit this excuse for a song was when it was played at the last ever TOTP..it didnt stand up against proper tunes as being worthy of the top 50 let alone no 1...I facking despair!

Don't agree GS - I think it's a very good (if totally manufactured according to blueprint) piece of constructed pop.
But thank God we can all have different tastes!

I didn't think this would be #1 at all, I really like the fact that it has been a surprise hit and also gone back to #1 again, without it, sales would have been very low at the top.
Proves radio 1 wrong as well, as they refused to play it except for the chart countdown, only now are they playing it a bit more.

Why did R1 refuse to play it?
