Someone needs to pull the plug on this rubbish. The plain fact is XFactor is not a talent show. It is a show made for 'entertainment'. I know several very talented singers who attended auditions (at great expense). They were treated merely as tv footage. Told to be there at 8.00 a.m., they were kept waiting for ages and then herded around and told to wave, shout, sing and just act up for the cameras. The auditions were a joke. A 'producer' did the audition and only let through the nervous, very young, strange and in some cases 'special needs'. The talented ones were all sent home. It is a disgusting exploitation of both the talented and untalented. When you watch the actual programme and a judge says something like 'who told you you could sing' the fact is those people have already attended auditions where they have been put through as 'entertainment' but believe they have talent. The only people who have any talent whatsoever have been put through by agents. I am sure that many people who have been through the humiliation and waste and time of the 'audition' will not be watching.
By the way did you hear Louis Walsh say that Shane Ward was recording in LA as he was going to be a global superstar .....?!

the 'audition' will not be watching.

..Which neatly takes us back to my post below, of "Shall I Get My Coat". If they want to look idiots to gain their 15 minutes, it is up to them.
How low do these people want to go?

the sad thing is there people who enter the compettion for the right reson and who have work there butt off. and see this as one of the best chances they have. however if someone goes in dressed as superman there more likey to get on tv then a talented person who has worked on it all.that`s a shame with realty tv and all these people will alway have sort lived life in music. because Simon cowel wants quick money and make his artists do covers rather then encourgeing them to write there own songs or finding someone who can help delevelop them to desent artists. I would think of going on but only once i have tryied every other way of making as living as a singer/ songwriter frist. i have seen the aftermath of talet show like these, if you rember a guy called alster griffin who came second on fame acdamy he is now trying to get re signed with a new band sadly all he seems to get are mid afternoon slots on local music festivals where a an elivs tribue has the headline slot.
