Forget X-factor, It's purely a cash cow(ell) for ITV made, watched and judged by people who have no interest in real music or any descernable talent for making music...just money.

If music was the priority they'd use their considerable influence over the herd like masses and have real bands, original songwriters and genuinely talented musicians on and use the programme as a way of opening peoples minds to new music and fresh talent instead of mediocre Karaoke singers who regurgetate a couple of old covers then get slung on the heap with other has beens.It's only like this because they take the easy way out...in reality if they hyped up a new music programme people would tune in to it because if Cowell and Co. give it their seal of approval then it's ok to buy it!

Anything that includes Sharon Osbourne is just pantomime and light entertainment which is ok for saturday Teatime...but you aint gonna fingd the new hendrix like that....if this format on TV is gonna work at all in discovering REAL talent and not just attracting self serving talentless philistines then it needs to be on at a later time in a proper music venue and have credible musicians, songwriters and producers casting their opinions.

How any one can take advice of someone who admits to promoting Zig and Zag is beyond me...
