How would you go about to break a pop act today ?

(Let's take for granted you have hits and the artist is one you throughly believe in or it's your own artiste).

Would you stick up a myspace page and/or youtube and sell on the backend ?

Would you gig in every venue available or hire the best PR team ?

Innovative ideas would be appreciated for this thread.
Someone is going to become a major player with their ideas when it works.

JK considering you have topped 50m records with multiple projects makes you a don here (hehe).
What would you do today in this post myspace world
and oh let's work under the assumption the majors are out as an option (no disrespect to anyone working for a major), in other words you are not allowed to sign the band to a major and let them do the work.

I'm rather intending to do it myself and don't want to give too many secrets away BUT...

I do believe we need a new Radio and TV station to spread the word about good music and I think they will exist online (borrowing a lot from both You Tube and MySpace) and will get WILDLY popular within months.

Then we have the exposure. The only rule will be; it has to be GREAT music and thoroughly entertaining TV.

If they hear it, they will come (Field of Dreams... nearly).

I like the micro-payment idea from the "Interesting post from ROTD" thread.

That would help the ariste very much and... provide a chart of sorts

Although micro-payments are more an answer to what would you like rather than what can I have
