These are not fans just yobs.

I remember when I attended my first World Cup match in Turin (or was it European?) and wrote a page in the Sun about how nice and genuine I found all the fans, English ones included. I got loads of hate mail from people offended I was being nice about football fans. These days it's paedos.

Brawls do happen if India and Pakistan play overseas but it's rare.

You might get rowdy fans at some T20 but South Africa Ram Slam is the worst for that.

Over half the population of the world follows football - and it's played in every country (the only game that is).

3.5 billion people watch it - more than most religions. And it's growing all the time; China, for example, is investing big time.

To try to analyse billions - and to attempt to put them in boxes - is foolhardy in the extreme.


Simplicity is the secret - a ball and two jumpers...or a World Cup final, watched in over 230 countries (all there is...)

My favourite sport is baseball followed by American Football; as for participating, only swimming for me; I used to hurdle when I was a teen; very well as my legs are so long I could virtually simply run as normal and the hurdles passed under me.

And it is virtually impossible to get a normal ticket - and very expensive due to supply not meeting demand.

Hence the new stadiums at Chelsea, Spurs, Everton - and elsewhere; these three alone will cost close to £1b each!

Wonder if Welsh Premier League could be more successful in the years to come? It's FTA on S4c every weekend & Scottish football is getting more good telecast deals.

Try and get a ticket for any top level event in sport.

Cricket, baseball, tennis, F1, golf, soccer, rugby etc.

You'll find us ants have gotten there first!

Reason why I can't afford cricket anymore. Clubs are doing supply and demand but are alienating the hard up fans. I guess that Pakistani channels are showing free PCB cricket about 3 times a year and BPL is on soon FTA, is not too bad either the tournaments.

IPL could be going to BT but at a price when ITV won the rights for peanuts.

Yes ... just a rabble ... so thick they don't even realise how much they are being ripped-off !
They should put up signs saying "Thickies Queue Here".

Shirts sell for fantastic prices (even though they are made for pence in a foreign sweat shot) - but are a "must have" so they all look the same, lose any individuality, and all appear for the same tribe.

... and they sing their simple nursery rhyme songs.
