TOPIC: Child saved from balcony.

Child saved from balcony. 5 Years, 11 Months ago
I love this story about a four year old boy dangling from a balcony with a neighbour hanging onto him, and a young man leaps up the front of the building and pulls him to safety.

You're right Honey; brilliant story; great video; just what we need as a species (and further support for my Open All Borders crusade).

It really is exactly the story we need - aren't we all now in love with the young man who saved the child? Not just Paris; not just France; the entire world. This is the way we should all be behaving. Gassama is our hero. Given citizenship. Given a job. Make him Pope!

If we encourage people whose immediate instincts are the same as this young man, we may yet, as a species, survive.

I cant help wondering if his instincts are so good because he hasn't been brought up in a me-first overprotected western society?

That's a very good point and seems very possible. There was apparently another Malian hero in France in 2015.

"Gassama's story instantly drew comparisons with that of another Malian migrant who was feted as a hero, and given citizenship, for helping save lives during a January 2015 terror attack.

Lassana Bathily helped hide hostages in the freezer during an Islamist jihadi attack on a Jewish supermarket, in which four people were killed."
