TOPIC: Media on India

Media on India 3 Years ago
It really is beyond me; any examination of the problems in India illustrate that it's not Covid but lack of protection for the vulnerable and lack of preparation with oxygen and ventilators, combined with media hype and panic, failing to be honest about figures (25,000 die every day in India all year long).

Why don't media cover this?

Lack of vaccinations as well.

In 67 countries, 90% of the population won't be vaccinated this year - if ever!

90% do not NEED vaccination. That's the problem of a PanicDemic. Stupid people think we should all be vaccinated. If only the vulnerable were vaccinated - care homes, elderly, obese, diabetic, underlying health... we'd be back to the "flu" point.

Vaccinate the vulnerable globally. Stop pretending healthy 30 year olds are in danger.

Stupid media. Stupid governments. Stupid gullibles.

I read that Gove has been in Israel this week looking at - among other assaults on freedom - child Covid vaccinations. My wife and I are agreed it would be over our dead bodies that this happens to our children.

It is one thing me taking a rushed vaccine, not my children. Also, what on earth would it be for? Covid is no risk to them whatsoever. When in the annals of history have we vaccinated anyone for something that poses no risk to them.

What is wrong with everyone!?!

I agree, But we do sometimes vaccinate solely to protect others already, such as with German measles and HPV vaccines, and family members or carers of vulnerable people are eligible for the flu jab.

The thinking on this is changing.

At the risk of sounding callous, no vaccine is without risk and the risk of Covid can stay with the vulnerable rather than another risk - however tiny - being transferred to my children.
