If The Enid ever come near it's worth seeing them, there is more members of them than Tangerine Dream, they have a been a tribute band for years.
If you don't know Focus, just bloody go and seem them anyway. I have seen Manfreds a few times and Paul Jones blues gigs, I love the blues gigs but the audience are so rude and ignorant, they do think they are going to hear Manfred songs. A lot of middle age concert goers are more rude than teens at gigs.
The Drifters is another with controversy, I think the daughter of one of the originals has the name and decided to take advantage of it in the UK.
I think it was Steve Allen on LBC, who saw The Drifters on a cruise ship, the lineup at the time he said looked like teenagers or those in their mid-20s. They had the cheek to say "This was a big hit for us." It was probably for the original group, not for the tribute act.
The logo of The Drifters is them in silhouette and there are no bios of the members on the website. They should be called Drifters UK or the UK Drifters something along those lines.
They are like any other tribute band, if the old dears are taking back in the time, then good luck to them but it's not something I would see, even if it was local.
