I have to admit I know nothing about this lady (I never watch Big Brother).
Anyone dying deserves sympathy.
I have no problem with her amassing as much money as possible from her sad demise in order to look after her kids when she's gone.
So why do I feel so very uncomfortable with all this publicity?
Somehow the involvement of the vile, evil Max Clifford indicates something very nasty in the woodshed.
There's a flavour of Christians and lions about it.
Catering to a very nasty element in human nature and, of course, the meejah.
But I cannot put my finger on it.
Do you want me to be really honest? I think it's all a lie. Think about it. Goody was out of favour following her bullying stint in the celeberity BB house. Everyone hated her. She announced her first diagnosis on live TV in the India big brother (this woman's talent knows no bounds). Goody without cancer? The phone goes dead. Goody with cancer? It ceases to stop ringing.
It's a very sick and very drawn out illness (my goody how drawn out will this be) and a miracle recovery will be announced before the end of the year.
No doctor...no nurse...has so far stepped forward with any news regarding Jade Goody.
If I am wrong then I will apologise...but the country should not mourn the passing of a cancer that has spread through the entertainment world ...keeping the truly talented out of work.
Sadly all this publicity is still about Jade and not bringing more awareness for others who have suffered similar fate.
Max Clifford will stoop so low.I am surprised he isn't holding a live TV charity auction in which he can flog her hairdryer to the highest bidder. The man is so insincere he makes me vomit. Giving off this impression that he feels for her like he would a daughter, when in reality he is rubbing his hands in glee at the thought of more dosh and publicity for him.(oh and for Jade)
I get no pleasure in seeing anybody suffer an illness that may be terminal. I've seen my mother and father die from such conditions, the latter when I was 11 years old.
Nobody says you have to die with dignity do they ? Jade Goody I wish you all the best and I hope you survive this, but I can think of thousands of mothers and daughters, who have conducted themselves with far more class and grace, that would be much more deserving of all this publicity then some foul mouthed, bullying thug which let's face it is all she is.
Clifford plays the child card ("for her kids") and the charity card ("Other young girls may now seek examination") without even considering whether most of us wince in disgust that he is using a dying mother to line his pockets with profits and his image with stories about how fine and noble he is and - worst of all - that he despises the public so much he actually thinks we fall for it.
For me JK that is what sickens me. The fact that the mindless majority are falling for this. I flicked through the Sun one day last week... Countless letters claiming that Jade had made young women 'more aware'. Bollocks!! If I do see anymore 'Brave Jade' headlines I will physically vomit.

If I am right...
This is my opinion too. Look at how the meejah turned on Goody over the racism thing. I thought it was VERY suspicious how she went over to India to partake in their Big Brother thing but within a day, it's suddenly announced she has cancer...
It was an ideal smokescreen to get her out of India before she could had caused any trouble (and you can be certain she would had done) and then try and reverse all the negative publicity she had for the racist row by playing the lowest common denominator... how else could Goody win back sympathy after the way she'd been savaged?
Of course there is the possibility it really is true and she is seriously ill, but problem is, Max Clifford is involved and he is never to be trusted since we know he will stoop to any level to get publicity and will orchestrate anything. After all since Kerry Katona ditched him, he's certainly had more time on his hands.
And the big question is, how much money is HE making for himself out of all this? Is he donating all his fees to charity? I'll bet he isn't!
Anyway... I thought Clifford supposedly had cancer?

I'm sure you've had threads on forums wishing you the most painful death imaginable JK. It's part of being a celebrity. Not everyone is going to like you.
None of us wish Jade Goody dead infact we'd all be happy for her to survive this.
Indeed. It was Clifford who hammered the nails into your coffin JK...or at least tried to. Let's wait for the miracle recovery...and as I write she has apparently had her bowel cleared of any tumour.
I can see the headlines now come December...Jade's Christmas She Was Never Meant To see'...and glassy eyed morons will lap it up!
Max Clifford washed his hands of her in January 2007 after the racism scandal, now suddenly he is her spokesman again.
It is a very uncomfortable topic, which isn't nice on all levels.
I certainly not wish anyone to die, and in the end Jade Goody is not a racist (she has a mixed race background). Her TV career has consisted of reality trash and her life being dragged through the headlines, so what else do we expect, that is the only way she knows?
Clifford is just keeping his name in the press and the fact he could one of her Trustees for the children in the event of her death, would make me worry.

You should. The comments here amount to inverted snobbery. For example, its ok for Terry Pratchett to tell his story but, a working class girl from Essex? I'm watching the knifes come out. To all those cynics who think that this is for "good" publicity, hang your head in shame. For the record, i've never been a fan but for Christs sake have a heart.
I have nothing but sympathy for anyone facing imminent death and have no feelings either way about this woman; indeed, as I said at the start of the thread, I know virtually nothing about her.
A bit like Jordan, she's on another planet for me.
Since she has chosen the media she will attract people from all extremes to comment. Fine by me.
I think it's the involvement of Clifford that makes me shudder. From personal experience I know his dishonest spiel hides evil motives and the more he conveys his superficial slime the more I cringe.

I think this is the very issue that's provoked much of the feedback here. I doubt any of us wish any ill on Jade Goody but yesterday for instance, on the news story at BBC News, the photo illustrating it was 50% Jade and 50% Clifford. That made me feel rather ill, how Clifford is barging in on this story as if he's as important as Jade. The more I see or read of Clifford in this particular story, the more uneasy I feel because we know Clifford is never to be trusted, and I'll bet he's making some nice money out of all of this.
