Those salivating over a (useless) $300M bomb drop on what could have been an empty factory, perhaps don't even know who the enemy is in this latest fiasco.
The Pentagon liaised with Russia (to avoid Russian casualties) as they did last year as they spent around $100M blowing up an empty Syrian airfield, perhaps pretending to themselves the Russians would not alert the Syrian army as to where the attack would take place.
# is this the new style of way to conduct war? You liaise with the enemy over all battles? A video game?
The Syrian conflict is a Civil War. Apart from Syrian rebels who have a deserved hatred for the Assad regime, they are now propped up and supported by ISIL and Al Qaeda.
So the
Colonel Blimps are cheering on the most evil of recent horrific murderers,
ISIL & Al Qaeda ( backed with US/UK weaponry) for some bizarre reason.
And ignoring the lessons of Iraq and now Libya where we removed dictators (who at least held the region together) and opened up those countries for mass slaughter of innocent civilians ( no dramatic pictures for TV here of children being killed so who cares?) and even further conflicts which we will get drawn into.
## well not this time as Assad has almost succeeded and has Russia on it's side (who now have China announcing they would support Russia in any conflict)
# rumours Sgt Major Theresa May has done a Thatcher because of upcoming council elections are greatly exaggerated.
Robert Fisk- the most accurate of Middle East reporters describes how ISIL murdered 120 captured Syrian Army conscripts- that's Syrians fighting in their own country.
Executing captured enemy is a serious war crime but these are new days. Our moralizing after WW2 at the savagery of the
NAZIs is no longer valid. Today we back those who commit war crimes, and sometimes join in.
Meanwhile about 25% of Brits support the bombing of Syria.(don't forget to vote in your local council election)
