Harry and Meghan 4 Years, 6 Months ago

These two seem to take themselves far too seriously - as minor royals. And have become a feature of daily media attention, whilst doing or achieving little.
One - a former/low level military chap; the other an ex-TV actress from America. Now their inadequacies will be the subject of another documentary.
Yet - because of the Diana legacy, or whatever - the public continues to lap up the mundane trivia associated to the pair, who would now prefer to live in the US.
A former King of England (and his American divorcee/wife) unsuccessfully joined the Palm Springs circuit - as well as the Parisian one - where obscurity quickly ensued.

The habit of referring to them by their first names is a great PR trick but it leads to masses of deluded people thinking they're personal friends of 'ordinary' people rather than the formal inferiors of ancient entitled aristocrats. That's what led half the nation to want to 'punish' the other half for not worshipping that poor 'commoner,' Diana Spencer, a member of one of the most obscenely privileged families in the country.
If these two people had any qualifications at all to lecture the rest of us on politics and morality, fine. But they don't, and that's what seems to elude them.
Two spoilt celebs, basically, with no claims to intellectual authority, telling everyone else what to think and do. The sheer outrageousness of their egotism is astonishing.
There's a simple solution to their deluded trauma: renounce their royal status, get jobs, earn respect, and move on accordingly. But don't go prodding your finger at the public telling them what's wrong with the world - especially as they're part of the problem.

Then, should the taxpayers be allowed to comment on the royals? After all - we fund a lot of their activities and properties.
Public funds even bought Sandringham and Balmoral - although amazingly, the Queen gets a tax benefit for allowing their use, for non-royal purposes!
Frogmore Cottage's renovations cost the UK taxpayer £2.5 million alone - and we're not permitted to go near the place.

Prince William 'worried' about Harry after ITV interview
I can't see what Meghan and Harry have done wrong other than being put on a pedestal then torn down by the media. I hope they win their court cases.
They jumped off the pedestal.
I am sorry they are having difficulties, but I dont need to know the ins and outs of their, and the rest of their family's business.
I thought it was a bit odd that the Duke was complaining about the press, while providing them with gossip and speculation about his own brother.
If they dont like the attention, they can just go off somewhere and do whatever they want, be whoever they want to be, like anybody else.
But they are giving the impression of revelling in it.
There is a lot to be said for a stiff upper lip.
