Yes they made some great punky pop songs like Shang-a-lang, summer love sensation, and Give a little love, as well as us no.1 Saturday night.

I vaguely remember them from the 70s, as i was in infant school, however I've got to know their music since and it always puts a smile on your face.

I saw their re-union tour 5 years ago at Hammersmith apollo with Les, Alan, and Woody. Alan died about 3 years ago, and now with Les gone, it only leaves 3 members left from the classic line-up. Les has struggled with alcohol abuse in the last few years, and no doubt this may have been a factor in his relatively early death.

There will be 1000s of very sad middle-aged women today, who would have been roller fans during the mid-70s, and would have very fond memories of those more innocent times.

Les should have been a millionnaire, considering how many millions of records they sold, not to mention all the merchandise, but they weren't paid a penny for all the compilations that roller's hits appeared on.

I didn’t realise that Mr Holder worked with the Rollers before he went on to ruin every Christmas thereafter. They shoulda kept him on!

Fair enough, producing that single and providing backing vocals would help, as would anyone who gave them gigs or radio play, but subsequent singles flopped, and it wasn't until the introduction of Les Mckeown 2.5 years later that their fortunes changed.

Not so much Les joining as Bill Martin taking over.

I am very saddened by it, not a fan but grew up with their music. It’s nostalgic I could listen to their stuff without a fuss, however when I ABBA I want to throw the radio out or walk out a shop that plays their music. I don’t mind Osmonds Crazy Horses album either but don’t their other albums.

There were worst bands than the BCR, Bucks Fizz are embarrassing in my opinion; however it was a joy to serve them and are very polite and generous tippers.

I have to admit their very early stuff is bland and amateurish, the singles are very demo like.

It’s a shame how they were treated and only got a pittance when Sony bought their catalogue. I thought Les was sober for many years obviously not. I am more a Rollers fan with Duncan Faure on vocals. Maybe Duncan could revive BCR with the surviving members. I hope Voxx gets re-released I have lost my copies.

Bearing in mind the main lead singer, Les, could only sell very small theatres, such as Horsham capitol for his "Legendary Bay City Rollers tour". This lot could barely sell out a church hall.

Not to mention Eric and Derek weren't prepared to go on the money spinning tour of 2015, they are not likely to sign up to perform with Nobby Clark, who nowone remembers as singer of that one single. As for Pat McGlynn, the singles had dried up by that time. Without Les and Alan, sadly there can be no Bay City Rollers.
