TOPIC: Letter from Priti Patel
#214023
Letter from Priti Patel 4 Days, 23 Hours ago
Just had a reply to my letter to the Home Secretary - actually from the Police Integrity Department at the Home office. Credit where due; several pages long and detailed. But they do what all the rest of the "system" does - either intentionally or accidentally misunderstanding my points, then answering those wrong questions. So I have replied (more briefly) correcting the mistakes and asking pertinent questions based on the right points.

I was not complaining about the conclusions of my case. Why would I? They were all in my favour. Declared Not Guilty, any future trial banned, complaints upheld.

I was complaining about the total breakdown in public trust of the bosses of the police. Not individual police. Many are fine. Some are excellent (Colin Sutton; last night's Code of a Killer). But the way police are blindly supported and protected by bosses has meant you get deaths by cops like George Floyd in America and Sarah Everard in the UK.
